Tsavolite
Tsavorite is a bright green
variety of grossular garnet, its colour being induced by the presence of
chromium. It gets its name from the Tsavo National Park in Tanzania,
which is where is was first found. It was only discovered quite recently
and has been growing steadily in popularity.
